Well it was a successful Christmas Program this year. My students chose their songs: Three Little Fish, Hot Cross Buns, and Santa's Coming. Part of Santa's coming the kids sing, "Hear him laughing, (the kids pretend to laugh)". It's quite adorable! There was some neat songs and plays this year: Christmas Around the World was 3/4 grades. They sang a song from Hawaii and another song from a different culture. Then, each pair said Merry Christmas in a different language. The JR. High put on a play "How the Grinch Won Christmas." There was a wrestling match between Santa and the Grinch with actual Koyuk cheerleaders on each side. The best part of the Christmas Program was the slideshow Jessica's students put together with pictures of all the students in the school. They got their pictures taken behind a handmade back drop. I almost cried when I saw one of my students holding a snowball and looking up at it. She looked so precious! We had refreshments afterwards and the next day was our Christmas Classroom party and off to Galena!
